Research Study:
In a 2020 study, researchers evaluated 40 participants (20 male, 20 female) aged 18-35 to assess the effectiveness of a gyro powerball for treating nonspecific wrist pain. Participants used the gyro ball three times a week for four weeks, five minutes each session. Results showed a 56.51% decrease in pain, a 12.45% increase in grip strength, a 19.46% increase in the number of revolutions performed, and a 109% increase in endurance. While the grip strength improvement of 15% was just shy of statistical significance, participants retained most benefits even after a month without exercise, with only a 5.3% decrease in grip strength and a 7.7% decrease in endurance. The study highlights reducing pain and improving grip strength and endurance, with lasting benefits.
